I have discovered an incredible artist. His name is Boris Artzybasheff. Wow. Incredible stuff. Especially, this body of work.

Advance
I almost named this War for Peace.
Happiness is a noble pursuit and it’s a never ending battle.
I was talking to my buddy, Thom down at Lillie Glass about traffic around town these days.
It has the potential to destroy anyone’s good mood in about a mile and a half.
I personally try to give speeders the benefit of the doubt. If they are faster than me, I move out of their way. And I try not to get angry when someone cuts me off. I have to let this stuff go as soon as it happens, because my happiness is in serious jeopardy at this point, and if letting it go and letting the other guy “win” allows me to be happier longer, then that’s what I will do.
My philosophy when it comes to irate drivers:
They either have something to prove or nothing to lose, either way, I don’t want to make it my business.
Let them by so they can go pursue their own happiness.
Dannielle
This is a sketch of a fellow artist, Dannielle Hodson.

The difference between me now and ten years ago is astounding. If I were to sum it up with one example, it would be how ten years ago, the big bills would be on the outside of the money fold I kept in my pocket. Now, it’s the small ones on the outside.
I love the “kis” method. I deliberately dropped the second “s”. I don’t like calling myself nor anyone else “stupid”….directly, anyway.
I say, just simplify your life. Get rid of it.
When it comes to an object in my house, if I’ve cleaned it twice and didn’t use it, chances are, I don’t need it and I will give it away. Let it collect dust in someone else’s house.

And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out into the world it is best to hold hands and stick together.
– Robert Fulghum
I have been truly blessed to have such a bunch of wonderful people in my life. I appreciate the memories I have. I look forward to the new ones.
We don’t know how much time we have with each other, and for the most part, we should just be grateful the time that we do have together and the memories that follow.
I think my time on Earth is precious and I choose to live it doing exactly what I want, when I want and with whom (with God’s blessing, of course). I think of my circle of friends as an actual circle with everyone holding hands (this is totally the “Jill Jones” in me). And if one friend falls away, someone else picks your hand up, and another’s.
I love you this much!
I think the difference between “I love you” and “love you” is huge.
The “I” is the most personal part of the equation. It’s a deliberate statement from one person to the other, a commitment or a confession.
“Love you” could mean ” love yourself” which is still a great message in its own right.
I like hearing them both just the same.

Anyone remember the playground at J. Raplh Ingalls? It’s a very special place – sacred ground, if I may go so far. If not J.Ralph, then how about your school playground from first and second grade?
David Croucher and I would race outside to get swings next to each other, so we could see who could swing the highest. We would talk about everything and make up stories. I remember one story David made up was about a doll that came to life. He stopped telling it suddenly, because he was scaring himself.
I just laughed out loud thinking about it.
Kurt Leonard was a little kid, relative to other second grade kids, however he could throw a tennis ball from one end of the lot behind the school to the other. I could get it pretty close if you let it roll to a stop.
I could go on writing these memories down, and I should, but for now, I’ll just keep them in my head.
Aaaaaah!
The sheer difference between macro and micro amazes me.
In other words, the wonders of cells versus the wonders of the Universe (or “verse” as it will be called five hundred years in the future. Trust me on this one).
Have you ever seen anything that’s .000000000000001 of an inch? How about something that’s ten billion light years away? Just how much of the possible universe do we experience in our lifetime? I bet their’s a number for that and I bet it’s a big one.
…or a small one.
Happy four twenty, everyone.
