Fun with Grandpa & Flammable Liquids

I have been working on this sketch for three days now. The last two sketches have been done as side projects – literally – to this one. In other words, I looked at the time and realized, I had to post something. It’s not an issue of complexity, detail, nor size. I just took my time on this one.

Mick

Cad é an ag f**k atá á lorg agat ar?

That’s Irish for “What the f**k are you looking at?”. That’s what I see when I look at this drawing.

I haven’t written in a while. I was quite busy last week and it became routine to post without writing. Well, things are starting to even out now, and I can dedicate more time to my posts.

I decided to pull out my colored markers and give them a whirl. That will be the next serious evolution in my development as an artist. I hope to use more color in the coming days, however I am not promising anything.

Desert Scene

This sketch was for a background for an animation I did about twelve years ago. I colored it in photoshop, however I cant find that file. I wanted it to be very simple, so it would be glaringly obvious it wasn’t to be taken so seriously.

Looking at it now and thinking how much my style has changed, I wonder what it would look like if I drew it knowing what I know now.

It’s funny how we never stop learning or evolving. Things that were so important to me five years ago don’t matter at all now.

Snake

I figured since my entry yesterday consisted of three sentences, I would do something to make up for it with color and a few more sentences.

I am thinking possibly one more sentence than yesterday, since it’s Saturday football.

Did I mention, I used color for this sketch?
